recommended woy to my teacher and because he's the best (and because it's friday, additionally he had a headache) he didn't assign us work, instead we watched woy. he let me pick the episode and of course i chose The Funk. he's never seen the show but said he loves it so far, he quoted peepers line "wait here you're still almost conquered" when he left the class to get some food. he really likes cartoons and i was really surprised to find out he's never watched the show. like, really?? what!
i had a huge smile on my face during certain scenes and i was a little jealous that it was his first time watching. his jaw dropped a little during the part where hater is told how insignificant he is, maybe he was taken aback because of how awesome the visuals were (can i just say even as a kid, i wanted them to have a good ending even if they were being total jerks?) and after that we watched the first episode. picking The Funk for his first watch was somewhat intentional on my part, the reason being i was really hoping he liked the hater and peepers duo as much as i do. it's also a personal favorite. afterwards he said he was hooked lolol understandably so, hopefully he watches more over the weekend so we can talk about it more. he also likes the designs, called the show genius and hilarious. not sure how he hasn't witnessed the absolute amazingness that is woy but that's okay, he understands it now. he said, quote, "amazing recommendation (glak)" he knows how much i love this show i don't think i shut up about it. top 5 days of my life, i wanna know who his favorite is so far. probably peepers. hashtag same! i also have a little cut out of haters van so i'll show it to him next week.
a bit off topic but i was surprised to find out he's never watched or heard of Duckman, no offense but he is kinda old and i assumed he's seen a clip or two somewhere. anyways...
while watching The Funk my hating and very rude friend (who i love dearly in a platonic way) said "(glak) what is this?" in a very insulting and disrespectful manner. i told him to shut up
only downside to my teacher watching woy is that he'll know i ripped off The Greater Hater for an assignment.. oops.
